Are you looking for a good list of resources that you can research for wedding planners? Or maybe you’d like to know what are the best online file storage services? Or maybe get a list of online sharing video sites? Or online feed aggregators?
Well if you’re looking for a list of anything, you can check out a really cool site called Listible. The whole purpose of the site is to use the community of people to create lists of the best web sites, services and resources for any topic you can think of. Listible is probably one of the smartest, yet simplest, ideas that I have seen to date. Just browsing through the main page, I was able to see how useful this web site is going to be.
Clicking on one of the tags towards the right hand side, you’ll be presented with the most popular lists for that topics. Clicking on Free, gives you a Windows OpenSource and/or Freeware list, an Online File Storage list, a Web 2.0 Beta programs you just HAVE to be in list, and lots more!
When you open a list, you get a list of the resources for that topic along with the ability to rate up or rate down specific items on the list. The more positive ratings a resource gets, the higher it shows up in the list.
To make it easier to browse and find great lists, you can click on FrontPage Lists, All Time Popular Lists, Latest Lists, and Resources form the right hand side. You can also subscribe to the feed for each one of those items so that you can view the lists in your favorite RSS reader!
I really like Listible a lot and can’t believe this wasn’t created sooner! This site is like Digg, but for list items, not news! It’s very cool and a great way to find the best resources out there. You can create an account to create your own list if you don’t already see it there.
