Ever wanted to host your own live online talk show or music show on the Internet? Using uBroadcast you can start your own HD quality radio broadcast about anything you like, uncensored, and completely free! All you need is a PC, Broadband connection, and a microphone. If you love a certain type of music, for example, you can take the music you have and create a channel that plays only those types of songs! Tell your friends and they can listen to your station from anywhere!

In order to listen to radio stations, you need to download the uBroadcast player. The player allows you to listen to original programming by uBroadcast, live content by independent broadcasters, music channels, and even foreign non-English broadcasters. There are thousands of topics to listen to and eventually they will be supporting Live Concerts, Adult programming, and Premium Content Channels.

You can save your favorite radio stations for easy access later by clicking on the Favorites tab. The Featured tab includes some of the more popular radio stations which might interest you. You can also share radio stations with friends and family by clicking on Share.

In order to broadcast yourself, you have to download their Station Manager software. When you create your own station, you can broadcast recorded content 24 hours a day or you can go live at any time. You control the content, the broadcast times, the subject matter, the format, etc. The cool part is that if you create a channel that becomes popular, you can sell advertising space on your radio station and generate income!

Other uses of the creating your own live radio show could be to conduct interviews or record an audio presentation. It’s also a great way for companies to promote a product, service or yourself even! And for those fledgling local city bands, you can create a radio station to promote your band’s music and get listed on uBroadcast’s featured section. uBroadcast was built to allow for user interaction, so you can actually debate with live callers, play sound effects, and jump to commercial whenever you want!

The site is free, however, when you sign up for an account it asks for credit card information. It’s used for age verification purposes and you will not be charged.

Currently, the software only works on Windows, but they are developing a version for the MAC. The software supports Windows 2000 and up, including Windows Vista. To get started, click on the microphone icon at the top of the web site to download the software.

You can upload MP3s and WAV files to your radio broadcast in the Station Manager. The site has a full demo with instructions on how to use the software. You can create your own radio broadcast without any prior experience, so try it out!

I’ve never got Ubroadcast to work, and I have a brand new P.C. I loaded all the software they told me to. Nothing. I either got an error message, or it crashed. I went on the forums, and hundreds of people had the same problem, and were getting NO support on their forums. This is very un-stable software, and people should avoid like the plague.

It is a fine software but they need to do a lot of work on it. I too downloaded it several times, but could not log into the station control panel. I emailed the support team more then once and they replied saying they were checking out my account problem, but have not informed me since then. If they could fix these problem it will be a great software.
