Host your images for free and make money by hosting pictures using ShareAPic

If you’re looking for a place to host your pictures online for free, there are literally hundreds of choices from Picasa to Flickr to Photobucket, etc, etc. Storage costs have dropped dramatically over the last few years and it’s paved the way for free online image storage, which is a great service for consumers.
However, the operators of the site keep all of the profits that are made from your free usage of their hosting services, which is fine since they provide a useful service for no charge.
But that’s about to change dramatically! A new site called ShareAPic wants you to host your images and pictures on their servers and PAY you for it! It still has all of the basic features of other file hosting services, such as the ability to get embed code to display the images on any site of your choice, however it also lets you get paid based on the number of “image” views you receive.
Here’s the basic idea: every registered user gets a piece of the advertising revenue that ShareAPic makes. The share of revenue is not based on advertising revenue in the traditional sense, like Google Ads, but instead is based on image views. For example, if they decide to distribute $1,000 to users in a month and the total number of image views for the month was 500,000, then 1,000 image views would result in $2. That means if your images were viewed a total of 10,000 times, you would make $20.
This might sound like a lot of views, but remember the images can be placed anywhere, i.e. into online galleries, FaceBook accounts, blogs, eBay, etc, etc.
So if you have tons of pictures and you post them all over the place to share with your friends and family, might as well host them off of ShareAPic and make some money off of it. It may not be a ton in the beginning, but you can imagine a couple of years down the line if you have thousands and thousands of photos stored online.
The great thing about ShareAPic is that it’s a free service that is willing to share the benefits that they are receiving back with the community of users, which is a double win-win situation for both parties. Think about how much money FaceBook makes because of it’s millions of users, but they do not share any of it with the community. Hopefully, more services will appear with this same business model.
Once your account balance is over $20, you can get paid. Also, the service can be used from any country and people will be paid is USD via PayPal. Other cool features of the site are the automatic Digg links for any galleries you create on ShareAPic, which means you can have your friends Digg up your galleries and make lots of money!
