Hi,
Thanks for the instruction but I have a small problem with it. the first time I do exactly what you've shown here and I had success. But the second time, nothing happen, I mean my laptop doesn't want to connect to the wireless network ad-hoc mode that i create. I don't know why, but do you? Just let me know ASAP
Cheers.

I have Windows XP on my desktop computer and would like to make it act as a router for three laptop computers with Windows Vista. Would that even be possible? I followed the directions and just couldn't do it.

Any suggestions?

It doesn't work for me. I try to connect my ipod to the network. The ipod is already connected, but, I still cant go online through my ipod.

For step 2, I can't find the drop down menu, so I just skipped it.

How can I make it work?

Wow this seems terribly complex, I would suggest just going to your local store and buying a home router. Why? Because you would first need to have two NIC cards and you would have to configure one, which is not an easy process. Then you would need routing software, which might entail Linux and setup routing tables along with that! Unless you want to just learn this for the heck of it, I would not recommend using a laptop as a router.

In step 2, where can I find the drop down menu? Step 6, I see my just created Network name, in the network connection list, but it failed to make the connection.

I am using windows XP.

I am trying to connect my Philips LCD TV, equiped with wireless Nettv, to my laptop configured as wireless access point as described in your procedure. On my tv I can see all wireless routers in my neighbourhood, but mine is not visible, because I expect the reason is that step 6 failed. Or am I trying something that is not possible .

Haven't tried it but was wondering if it will work in reverse, using wireless for internet connection and wired ethernet for sharing through a wired router.

***HELP***

I'm LOST from STEP 2.

Step Two: Click the drop down menu and select “Wireless Network Connection“. Click OK.

I just can't seem to find this DROP DOWN MENU!
(If it's supposed to be in the same place as Step 1, then it'd definitely not there!)

Please help!!
