This program looks great for removing spyware, but it’s not for beginners. Is there a guide I can download to understand how to use this software? Thanks.

If you have a bad spyware infection, my suggestion is to simply re-install the OS. That stuff really never goes away and you don’t know what it could be sending from your computer. Best to format and start over.

Why not just keep a track of your stuff and compare running processes by making notes on a known clean install. Make a backup then well be done with it all together. Do this and well you won’t need software’s like this. It is a great tool for you lazy people though. If your wise enough to weed threw the running processes in hijack this, well then you’re smart enough to play in the registry. Low down truth here is this tool does that anyway, the difference is that it is less organized, what it is missing is all the related entries that are associated to the running processes, like the back ups or original installs and little things like that. The good spywares out there will utilize back ups or current registries entries.

Doug, Thanks! Yep, TrendMicro did a good move on acquiring it. I remember I used this software to remove a registry that keeps on changing my homepage. Hopefully this will be useful to other users as well.

Wow, nicely done on the presentation. HiJack this is truly a great program. TrendMicro was smart to buy it up.
