@Pha loo – I think that most people don’t really know how to use photo editing programs to create thumbnails of websites themselves. So it’s way faster for someone to get a thumbnail without having to have any technical knowledge. Also, the steps are fairly easy, not very complex.

Yes, you can do this manually using a $400 photoshop program. But, what if you want to have thumbnails of new sites within a minute of being submitted and you aren’t right there monitoring your website? Or what if you want previews of 10,000 websites? That’s a lot of work!

It is really easy to create a website thumbnail myself. Just with a little knowledge about graphic design, a photo editor like Photoshop and less than 5 minutes, I can make a cute website thumbnail.

But is it necessary to do these complex jobs just for a thumbnail? And I think use a third pary service exclusive for this job is a completely right choice. I prefer Websnapr to Thumbizy, but I will have a try on it.
