Looking for a free online to-do list? There are many reasons on why people use todo lists. One of the those reasons is to keep your tasks organized. With huge amount of things to complete each day, it is really easy to forget important things that deserve instant attention.

By listing things to complete inside a todo list, one can stay focused on the most important task at the moment while not forgetting about the others. Once a task has been completed, a quick peek at the todo list will instantly keep your productivity levels going. Having said that, you can use Toodledo - a free online todo list application.

Toodledo is a web-based todo list that allows you to jot down what you need to complete quickly. Its motto is to help you get organized, stay motivated and be productive. Being completely online, it is easily accessible, thus making it easier for you to manage your tasks from anywhere. Once you have registered as Toodledo user, you can start adding your tasks using the friendly, dual-pane interface.

Hotlist - clicking on this tab allows you to view the most important tasks which are based on a task’s due date.
Inline task editing - true to Web 2.0 style, you don’t have to wait for another page to load before you can see changes to a task attribute. Everything loads and changes perfectly on the same page.
Add notes to your list with nearly unlimited number of words.
Add Multiple Task allows you to save time by adding multiple tasks in one shot. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.

Folders to help you group tasks that belong to the same activity.
Easily add, change and reschedule a task due date. I suggest that you make use of the Repeat option for recurring tasks such as birthdays.
Easily prioritize your tasks with 3 for being the most important till -1 for the least important.
Getting Things Done (GTD) friendly online todo list - there are the “Context” option for you to define tasks based on location or what you actually do e.g. work, home, telephone, car. “Tags” support is also available.
Goals - use this section to list down difficult unquantifiable tasks such as a long term goals e.g. be successful in life. You can use this section in line with your short term todo list tasks.
For a visual representation of what you need to in a month, use the Calendar feature.
Share your todo list with a public URL.

While testing Toodledo, I found a cool way to manage my Toodledo online todo list - with the Toodledo Firefox extension. This way, I can manage and view my todo list via the Firefox sidebar, without having to load the original web page.
