Penzu – Free online personal journal for your thoughts
Posted on November 6, 2008 at 5:34 am
Keeping a diary and expressing your innermost thoughts are common tasks that most individuals have done at least once. Writing down your personal thoughts can also help to relieve stress during unexpected situations. Most psychologists and medical doctors suggest writing down your feelings whenever possible.
Once you become an adult your busy schedules, activities, and pressures in life seem to take over. Freelance bloggers, college students, and other professionals have their own personal blogs to express their opinions. Browse the Internet and you’ll also see that there are a vast number of websites that allow you to blab your thoughts across the web.
Penzu is a useful website that lets you relive your younger days of writing in a journal or diary. As a kid, you would place your private secrets in a journal and keep it away from spying eyes. After having a bad day, writing down everything that got on your last nerve felt like a cathartic process. With access to the Internet, you have numerous tools within your reach. Jotting down a few notes throughout the day can be done with a few keystrokes.
Visit the Penzu website to get started in your writing journey. Once you arrive on the website, you can easily start writing. Create a simple title for your journal entry and begin composing your personal thoughts on an online notebook page. The page title and time you started typing will appear on a tab to the left of the page.
If you want to write multiple pages, just click the “New” button at the top of the notebook. You can save, print, share, or insert images into your journal entries. To gain full access to your journal entries and perform searches when necessary, you’ll need to sign up for a free account. It only takes a couple of seconds to get started.
Another cool feature of the Penzu website is that you can also read the entries of famous people. Being able to sit down and read their thoughts will provide you with a few remarkable moments. If you feel a loss for words, read the getting started guide. It will help to point you in the right direction.
Each journal entry you compose will be kept private unless you choose to share it. You won’t have to worry about others getting access to your thoughts. On the other hand, you can also give others access to your entries by clicking to share it. Instead of having your personal name attached to the entries, select the anonymous sending option. They’ll never have a clue.
Penzu is a free service and worth a look when you get a spare moment. Consider starting your own private journal and release some of the unwanted stress you may experience. Before you even realize it, you’ll begin writing a first time novel in an instant.
