Migrate pictures from Flickr to Picasa

Looking for a way to migrate or copy your pictures between online photo sharing services like Picasa Web Albums, Flickr or Zooomr? Right now I have all of my digital pictures stored at Picasa, but I also have a few albums stored in Flickr since I started using it first and then moved to Picasa.
You might be in a similar situation and are wanting to consolidate all of your photos into one location. Trying to do this manually by downloading albums or individual photos is way too time-consuming. Luckily, there is a free software application called Migratr that allows you to transfer your photos from Picasa to Flickr, or Flickr to Picasa, or Zooomr to Picasa, etc super easily!
It’s a very straight-forward application that can help you bulk copy your photos between online photo sharing services and maintain photo attributes, such as titles, descriptions, and tags.
Install the program and you’ll see a series of steps across the top. First choose the source of the pictures, which can be from about 10 different services, including 23HQ, Faces, Flickr, Gallery2, Picasa Web, Phanfare, SmugMug, Zenfolio, and Zooomr.
Click the Authenticate button and type in your username and password. Allow Migratr to have access to your account and then go to Step 2. Click Finish Authentication and then go to Step 3. Click Import and all of your pictures will be downloaded.
It may take some time to download your pictures, depending on the size and how many you have stored. Step 4 and Step 5 will setup the authentication for the destination online service just like before. Finally, in Step 6, choose the folder where you downloaded all the photos to and choose Export to begin the upload process.
And that’s it! It’s also a great tool if you want to copy all your photos from one service to another just for backup purposes. Overall, it’s a great program and really works well! So if you plan to switch between online photo sharing services, you can now do it easily! Enjoy!

Nice find, trying it right now, as my free flickr account is banging up against the 200Mb limit. Picasa, of course, offers 1Gb free.
Thanks. Was forced to move from yahoo photos to flickr. Then when I tried re-arranging albums I was told I needed to pay. What a load of tosh. Goodbye flickr
Hi I only had partial success with this, it seemed to be working, then abended but when I checked the albums it had imported from flickr to picasa the photo counts did not tally, so it didn’t import photos and didn’t say what photos it failed to import.
