Search and browse tough job interview questions and answers

A few days back I wrote an article on how to quickly find the best jobs online using a service called Trovix which basically reads your resume and intelligently compares it to job descriptions to find great matches. So if you have used that and now you’ve gotten yourself an interview, you might want to start practicing your job interview skills before walking through that door.
InterviewUp is a cool web service that is trying to utilize the power of Web 2.0 communities to create a data bank of interview questions and answers. Here you’ll be able to find sample interview questions, common interview questions, technical interview questions, and hopefully some good answers. The answers to the questions are written by the users of the web sites, so there could be multiple answers to one question.
I like the idea behind the site because it’s a great way to grab the experiences of millions of people to create a very usable database of questions and good/bad answers. The site was just released on October 21st and they already have over 1,000 searchable interview questions and answers. That’s pretty impressive and I’m sure after some time this site will prove to be very valuable for many employees.
Searching for questions and answering questions doesn’t require registration, but if you create an account, you can track, monitor and print out specific questions and answers. Also, you can earn points for answering questions and eventually get ranked as a top answerer.
Overall, the concept is really neat and will be provide job seekers with an extra edge when it comes to interviewing. Here’s a few examples of questions you can find answers to:
1. What would you say to your boss if he’s crazy about an idea, but you think it stinks?
2. If you didn’t have to work, what would you do with your free time?
3. Why there are no global variables in Java?
6. Do you think inter-office relationships are ‘OK’?
7. How does one respond when an interviewer asks why one has few or no references??
8. Would you ever report your co-worker if they constantly arrive to work late?
9. If you won $10 million lottery, would you still work?
10. What is a Managed Code in .net?
As you can see, there are a bunch of different types of questions listed from very general to really hardcore technical stuff. Whatever your field, you’ll be able to find something related. Enjoy!
