faxZero – Free online Internet fax service – Send faxes for free

Need to send someone a fax, but aren’t close to a fax machine? Or maybe you don’t even know how to use the fax machine at your home or office and too embarrassed to ask someone? Or maybe you have a document that’s already in electronic format and it would be easier to simply fax it from your computer rather than printing and sending through a fax machine?

Whatever your reason, it’s really a lot more convenient to send a fax across the Internet from your computer. Luckily, there are a couple of free online Internet faxing services that you can use for sending faxes.

faxZero allows you to send a fax to anywhere in the US or Canada for free, with a few restrictions. Obviously, someone is paying for that fax, so the way they make it free is that you can fax up to two times in a day and each fax can be a maximum of 3 pages. Also, there will be an ad on the cover page that you fax.

This service is obviously not for businesses or anyone who needs to be sending faxes on a constant basis, however, it’s a great way to quickly send faxes to friends or family for free!

Just fill out the sender info and the receiver info and either attach a Word or PDF document or simply type in text into the box.

The fax cover page looks like the following with the ad on it. Remember, the cover page does not count against the 3 page limit for each fax.

If you feel the person receiving the fax would be offended by the ad, then you definitely don’t want to be using this service, otherwise they can just discard the first page to view your fax.

If you need to send more than 2 faxes a day or without the ad on the cover page, you can sign up for the Premium account, which is a $1.99 per fax, unlimited faxes per day, no ads on the faxes, and a 15 page limit on each fax.

If the fax number is busy, faxZero will try up to 5 times to send the fax to the number and will send you a confirmation email once it has been received. Also, the files must be under 10MB in order to work.

Overall an easy and simple way to send faxes for free from your computer! If you can live with ads, it’s perfect! Enjoy!

    No problem! Yeah I sent out a free online fax yesterday and it worked fine and the person didn’t even care about the ad.

    i’ve tried tons of free faxing services, but i get limited features :( I’m satisfied with using 101Fax at http://www.101fax.com. I love the complete features at $4 monthly. :)

    My friend says it barely works so I told her to go try 101Fax since she can also save more, and she thought it really was a reasonable investment to sign up with. you can go check it out at http://www.101fax.com...(by the way, you can try it out for free too for seven days)
