Comments on: How to determine if BIOS update is needed

I have the following bios: American Megatrends, Bmibios(c) 2006, 954GCT-M2 Release 08/16/07.
My PC reports a serious error, and suggests that the BIOS needs updating.
Am using W XP Professional, CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33 GHz.

hi Nat, what OS version and computer model are you using? I am not sure if you will need Admin access to a PC before you can run it.

I’ve tried running the Bios Agent app and it crashes right away. Any ideas?
