With so many cool new web sites popping up every day, it’s impossible to write about each one in depth, so I’m coming out with a weekly roundup of some of the more popular ones that I have found! This way if you’re interested in checking out the latest cool Web 2.0 tools and services, you can quickly browse through the list. Also, I do some research to actually make sure the site is promising and useful, not just some copy-cat or non-functional site.

Ok, so here’s this week’s list of 10 new Internet startups that you might like!

1. Fliiby.comStands for File Library and is a new way of file uploading with the ability to upload 100 files at once, categorize files, edit, share, or delete them, rate files, add comments, make them private or public and lots more.

2. SpyShakers.com – A new Identity Management System which lets you access all of your Internet favorites, passwords and log-ins securely from any computer. Passwords and logins ids can be dragged and dropped directly into sites to protect against keyloggers and phishing.

3. PhoneCasting.com – A cool online social networking service that tries to combine the best feature of podcasting and phonecasting. Publishers can assign their podcast a virtual phone number which allows users to listen to the latest podcasts from their mobile phones anywhere in the world. You can also create a podcast from anywhere in the world via any phone.

4. TryThis.com – A community driven site that allows people to give recommendations, ask for recommendations, or search through the database of current recommendations. Search through topics such as the best places for brunch or the top recommended dance clubs in your city.

5. Lemonade.com – An interesting twist of the American lemonade stand marketing scheme. The basic model is that you create a "stand" of your favorite products that are displayed with links back to the original retailers. When something is bought, you make a little money in the middle. You can put the "stand" on your web site, blog, etc.

6. RottenNeighbor.com – Another community-driven site whereby you can search or add to a database of "rotten" neighbors. The site is serious and the owner wanted it to be another tool for home buyers to use before moving to a new place.

7. CareerTours.com – Wouldn’t be great if you could get a tour of the job your applying for before accepting it? CareerTours asks employers to create virtual tours of the organization and the job specific day-to-day tasks that are expected.

8. YouPostDeals.com – Another community-driven site that allows users to post deals found on the net and rate them up or down. The deals with the most positive reviews appear on the home page. You can also make money on the site via Amazon and eBay.

9. PopTakeout.com – iPhone geared web site that allows you to get the latest news and headlines from popular news aggreagator sites like Newsvines, Reddit, TailRank, Del.icio.us and Digg. Gets you the news quickly and simply.

10. Slideroll.com – Free web service that lets you take your pictures and create your own professional-looking slideshows that can be published on the Internet (blog or website), on MySpace, on YouTube, or emailed to friends and family.

More new sites to come next week! Enjoy!

I found this really useful free online service were users can keep track of all their warranty information, so it is never lost and is available 24/7 from anywhere at any time. When something breaks, you know where to find your warranty and contact information and if you upload your invoice and warranty papers, you have the documentation required in hand when you need it.

A great website for anyone that hikes, camps, or travels outdoors. You simply put in your trip information and your emergency contact emails. If you don’t return on time from your trip, it let’s your contacts know about it. Follows the sage travel advice of “always leave a note”.
