I have not been able to complete the process. It won’t go beyond entering the PDF and won’t open the dialog box. But it is great to find people who are willing to help others on line!

You can also extract text from a PDF if you have Adobe Acrobat Professional. You can select a section of text and it will perform OCR on it. It’s usually pretty good if the text is clear and straight.

Unlike most people, I am looking for a paid program that I can us to convert a PDF to Word. All free programs are crap and never get anything done properly. Any ideas?

Excellent. I was able to convert my PDF to a Word doc in no time. If the text is not super clear in the PDF document, it doesn’t convert super well, but overall it’s pretty good. Thanks.
