Compare products and read product reviews for electronics

Christmas is only a few weeks away and that means there are going to be hundreds of new and cool electronic gadgets to choose from for gifts. If you’re not the tech savvy person, but you have to buy a techie toy for someone you know, it can be quite a daunting task.
Want to buy an MP3 player? Well, you can choose the iPhone, the iTouch, the iPod, an Archos media player, a cell phone with an MP3 player built-in, etc, etc! There are literally hundreds of choices for just an MP3 player! How do you know if it’s better to get the Apple iPhone vs the Blackberry 9000? You don’t unless you sit there and read over all the technical details, specs, and user reviews.
A quicker way for those of us who are a little lazy or who simply do not have the time for product comparison shopping is to check out a cool new website that “clashes” two products together and let’s people vote on which is better.
ProductClash is a fun and simple way to compare products from the biggest companies. Each product has it’s specs listed out below the images and you can vote and post comments on your favorite item.
For example, if you’re planning on buying an MP3 player from Apple, would you go for the iPod Touch 16GB or the iPod Classic with 160GB storage? It’s only $50 more for the Touch, but you don’t get as much space. However, the Touch has the really cool touch screen.

If you don’t see a clash that you’re looking for, you can create an account and start your own clash between two products. You can also check out the most popular clashes and popular products from the main page.
You can also browse by categories, including Cameras, Cellphones, Computers, Gadgets, GPS, Home Entertainment, etc.
If you decide to buy an item, they also have direct links to online stores such as Amazon where you can make the purchase. They also have a ProductClash FaceBook application, whereby you and your friends can create and vote on your own personal clashes. I think it would be cool if they allowed you to clash two people, instead of just products!
Overall, ProductClash is not going to erase the need for user reviews, forums, and detailed research, but it certainly is an effective way to get the opinions of a large number of people quickly! Enjoy!
