Block Posters – Create huge wall posters of any image for free

BlockPosters is a cool website that takes any image you like, slices it up into segments, and then generates a PDF file with all of your images that you can then print out and stick on your wall. This sounds like it would be great for college students or anyone who lives in a dorm, where the walls are bare and no one cares if there’s a huge poster of your not so pretty face.

The whole process only took me 2 minutes from start to end! First, find a picture that is less than 1MB in size (that’s the limit) and then click on Step 1 and browse for the image. Once selected and uploaded, you can then choose how you want to slice up your image. You may have to experiment with this to get the best results because if you splice it up into too many pages, then the image may look pixilated.

Basically, you choose how many pages WIDE you want your poster and it will tell you exactly how big your poster will be once printed out.

Click Continue and your file is generated within seconds! It’s really cool how this site works! You can go back and change the width if you’re not happy with the resulting PDF file.

From what I could tell, page 1 starts at the top left and moves across the columns first and then down to the next row. Print it out and try to join it together to see how it looks! Here’s a shot of what others have done using the site:
