Best Digital Camera review web sites!

If you’re looking to buy a new digital camera soon, you’ll want to make sure you do plenty to research to get the camera that’s right for you! Now these days, there are so many options and features, it’s hard to keep track of it all! So reading a review from a web site who’s sole purpose is to write reviews for cameras is a good place to start!

1. DPReview.com (Digital Photography review) - This site has the most complete and current set of reviews for digital cameras out there! You can look up reviews either by the most recent ones written or by the exact manufacturer and model. It also has a Timeline page where it gives you a day by day guide showing which cameras were released and which ones will be releasing soon.

The review is organized very well into specific categories and you can jump around if you are interested in a particular topic. And the best part is that they compare the camera to other similar cameras in the same class as the one you’re looking at.

2. Imaging-Resource.com - This is another one of my favorite digital camera review sites and I usually use this in combination with DPReview. This sites gives a slightly more condensed, one-page review with a PRO/CON list at the bottom of each review. I find this last part listed in their conclusion section to be the most useful, but remember that EVERY camera will have some CON, so you have to go see for yourself whether that’s going to be a deal breaker or not for you.

3. DCResource.com - This is the only other site I look at for digital camera reviews and with that much information gathered up from 3 web sites, you should be able to get past any biases or personal opinions a reviewer might have and get the low down on whether or not the camera is good. This site also has a good amount of information along with a particularly nice comparison chart of ALL the current cameras.

It compares maximum resolution, optical/digital zoom, battery type, image stabilization, LCD size, storage media, and price. A nice way to compare quickly the cameras you are looking to buy to see their similarities and differences.

Enjoy your new digital camera!
