ActiveCiti - Event management software, create and manage events online

If you have a lot of friends and are a very social person, it might be hard to manage all of the people you have to meet, the places you need to go, and the times you have to be there in your head! Managing simple day to day events like meeting friends for dinner or planning a party at your house can be accomplished a lot quicker online and through email rather than tons of phone calls between people.
ActiveCiti is a very cool web app that you can use to create and manage events quickly and easily. The software was written to solve a common problem most students have: organizing small, everyday events with friends and family like going out to a club or have a family picnic.
ActiveCiti is completely free and works with any city, you can make plans no matter where you live. All you need it an email address and an Internet connection. It’s not another social networking site, only friends can be added and you can share your events with friends.
To create an event, sign in and click on Create Event. You can either make a private event or a public event, that will be visible to everyone. The other cool thing about ActiveCiti is that you can create your own private page for your event like http://events.activeciti.com/yourevent.
You can then enter a start time and and end time for your event. However, if you’re not sure of the date and time, you can let your invitees decide a date and time by throwing open a poll. You can also put in the address, location, and a link to a map from one of the mapping services like Google Maps.
Of course, if you want to setup an event, you’ll need to invite friends. Luckily, you can import all of your contacts from Orkut, Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail. You can also import contacts from a CSV file.
ActiveCiti is a really simple and easy way to setup events and manage them online in an interactive way with your friends and family. So next time you want to plan a trip with a group of friends, check out ActiveCiti and see how it works! Enjoy!
