6 ways to create digital photo books from your photo albums

Do you have lots of photos? One of the great things that you can do with all of your photos is turn them into custom photo books! Personally, I’m a photo freak and have well over 20,000 photos stored on my computer. Recently, I created my own photo book using desktop software and presented to my wife as a wedding gift. It was definitely very unique, very personalized, and the quality was superb.
However, there are a couple of options and routes that you can take to create your own photobook. Some allow you to create the books online and others require you to download their own custom software. Personally, I find the software download to be better because you can work on your book while offline at any time. Also, you don’t have to upload all of your pictures.
Here’s a list of ways you can go about turning your digital photos into custom coffee table photo books or wedding photo books, etc.
These are some of the most popular sites for publishing photo books that I know of, if you have any others you would like to share, post a comment! Enjoy!

Great writeup. There is another option, although it is more limited, and that’s publishing through apple via Aperture or iPhoto.
I did an apple book a few years ago and the quality wasn’t nearly as good as what blurb produced, however I would hope that apple has upgraded their printing technology in the past 4 years.
I have pictures and details on the blurb book, including mistakes, here:

Overall blurb has been an excellent product for the price, but I’ll have to look into some of the others you listed above.
Thanks
Thanks for information on photo books. I knew there would be a few out there and appreciate you checking them out and writing feedback.
Will now be able to start putting my ‘mountain’ of photos into photobook/s!!!
