I used the Norton Removal Tool and it worked fine but after it restared I wasn't able not able to access the internet. I'm not sure if it is directly related to me removing norton but it was working fine prior to the removal. Any suggestions, tips, or advice to get it working again?

@akishore: Hmm. I'm not sure that's the same app on my laptop, but I'll sure try the workaround. Thanks for your help!

@Arga - Are you talking about Symantec Endpoint protection? I actually just wrote up a post on how to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection even if it has a password.

Nice post there. I was just wondering if you know any workaround for uninstalling password protected symantec antivirus program. You see, I bought a used laptop from a company with symantec antivirus enterprise software already installed. Now, I want to remove the antivirus but everytime I try to do so, it asks for a password to remove itself. I have no way of contacting the company no more, so asking for the password is out of the question. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
