Created everything according to your tutorial. Easy!

However, my co-worker in same workspace as me cant access the FTP server using her workspace computer. That something to do with me not using Port Forward?

Well I installed IIS. Created a website. I can connect to a web site (virtual via IIS) from WAN. However, I cannot get thru FTP login. Annoymous, or not. I did try Filezilla and it works. What is missing with Microsoft IIS?

Jackie: XP Home is somewhat crippled, so there is no way to set up a server just using Windows. HOWEVER, there are a bunch of free Virtual Network programs out there (my fave: UltraVNC http:\\www.ultravnc.com) that are simple to install and use and they don't take up a bunch of resources. Essentially, they let you take remote control of the other PC, including file transferring (and a lot more). File transfers are slower than with a true FTP server, but there's no need for special directories or system configurations - just install and go.

Any idea on how to determine the IP address of the connecting party? When I look into the IIS logs, the from address always has the external IP address of our domain name as opposed to the IP address of the connecting party. We keep seeing people trying to hack into our box and would like more info.

If you are unable to see any icon for Internet Information Services in "Start, then Control Panel and click on Administrative Tools."

To resolve this problem:
1. Open a CMD.EXE Window.
2. Type regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\inetmgr.dll and press Enter.
3. Press OK to acknowledge success.
4. Close the CMD.EXE window.
