1. Make Connection Secure: ¾ÈÀüÇÏ°Ô ¿¬°á :

Securing the wireless Internet connection means to use some encryption on data and use of password authentication to access the Wireless Internet. ¹«¼± ÀÎÅÍ³Ý ¿¬°áÀ» È®º¸ ¹«¼± ÀÎÅͳݿ¡ ¾×¼¼½ºÇÏ´Â µ¥ÀÌÅÍ ¹× ¾ÏÈ£ ÀÎÁõÀÇ »ç¿ë¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¸î °¡Áö ¾Ïȣȭ¸¦ »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¶æÇÕ´Ï´Ù. 2. Disable SSID Broadcast SSID¸¦ ºê·Îµå ij½ºÆ®¸¦ ÇØÁ¦

Disabling SSID broadcast is like making the router silent, it will not tell anyone that the router is around, unless someone tries to call its name( or IP address). 3. Enable Firewall On Router If Available ¶ó¿ìÅÍ¿¡ ¹æÈº®À» ¼³Á¤ »ç¿ëÇÒ ¼öÀÖ´Â °æ¿ì

Some routers have in-built firewall option, if that is available, turn it on, it will help secure your computers from being hacked even if someone gets to access your network without your permission. ÀϺΠ¶ó¿ìÅÍ¿¡¼´Â - ¹æÈº® ¿É¼Ç, ³»Àå °¡´ÉÇÑ °æ¿ì´Â, ±×°ÍÀ» ÄÓ ¶§, ±ÍÇÏÀÇ ÄÄÇ»Å͸¦ ¾ÈÀü¿¡µµ µµ¿òÀÌ µÉ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù ±ÍÇÏÀÇ Çã¶ô¾øÀÌ ¸¸¾à ´©±º°¡ ´ç½ÅÀÇ ³×Æ®¿öÅ© ¾×¼¼½º¿¡ µµ´Þ ÇØÅ·ÀÖ´Ù.

4. Change Administrator Password °ü¸®ÀÚ ¾ÏÈ£ º¯°æ

It is very important to change the administrator password of your router, because certain brands of routers have certain default username password sets that hackers know very well, so if they get till your network, and you still have the default passwords set, they can steal your important data. ¶§¹®¿¡ ƯÁ¤ ºê·£µå¸¦ ƯÁ¤ ¶ó¿ìÅÍÀÇ ±âº» »ç¿ëÀÚ ¾ÏÈ£¸¦ ¼³Á¤ ÇØÄ¿°¡ ¾ÆÁÖ Àß ¾Ë°íÀÖ¾î ¾ÆÁÖ ±ÍÇÏÀÇ ¶ó¿ìÅÍÀÇ °ü¸®ÀÚ ¾ÏÈ£¸¦ º¯°æÇÏ·Á¸é, ±×·¡¼ ±×µéÀÌ ´ç½ÅÀÇ ³×Æ®¿öÅ©±îÁö¹ÞÀ» °æ¿ì Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº, ´ç½ÅÀº ¾ÆÁ÷ ±âº» ¾ÏÈ£¸¦ ¼³Á¤ÇÒ¸¦ °¡Áö°í ÀÖ°í, ±×µéÀ» ÈÉÄ¥ ¼öÀÖ´Ù Áß¿äÇÑ µ¥ÀÌÅ͸¦. For this, look for some set password/change password option on your router control page, for example, on Netgear, its something like this: ÀÌ µé¾î, ÀϺΠ¼³Á¤ ºñ¹Ð ¹øÈ£¸¦ ã¾Æ / ºñ¹Ð ¹øÈ£ º¯°æ ¿É¼ÇÀ» »ç¿ëÇÏ¸é ¶ó¿ìÅ͸¦ Á¦¾î ÆäÀÌÁö¿¡, ¿¹¸¦ µé¾î, ³Ý±â¾î¿¡, ÀÌ·±½ÄÀ¸·Î´Â ¹º°¡ :

Not only does it saves on your power bills, but also, will help keep it secure, for example in my case, I use Wireless Internet at home only for 5 hours a day, so I turn it on for that time, and keep it turned off for rest of the day when I am away for work.
