Backup and save your Firefox bookmarks online

Browser bookmarks (i.e. favorites) are sometimes a hassle when you need to use another computer. Since traditionally it is saved in your PC’s harddisk under your Firefox profiles, there is no way to access the bookmarks from another computer. Without a proper tool, people who use a lot of computers will struggle to synch up their bookmarks.
To remedy this follow this steps to install the Firefox Foxmarks add-on:
Step 1: Download the software using your Firefox browser http://www.foxmarks.com/
Step 2: Install the add-on by clicking the “install now” button when the software installation window appears:
Step 2: Install the same plugin to your other computer’s Firefox browser. This way the software can silently synch your bookmarks when you get online.
Step 3: Follow the Foxmarks setup screen. Enter your username, email address and password to be able to create an account for Foxmarks.
Step 4: Go to your other computers and login to FoxMarks to see the bookmarks uploaded from your source computer:
Step 5: Click Synchronize now to synch your other PC’s bookmarks with the bookmarks from your source PC(s). This will allow you to save all of your bookmarks on a single place.
One you get this tool running, there maybe cases when you want to do an adhoc bookmark synch (i.e. you are working offline but online on your Intranet). To do this, just click Synchronize Now on the blue icon of Foxmarks:
That’s it! Once you activate the synch on your account, it will silently save the new bookmarks you have on your Foxmarks account.
Now what if you need to access your bookmarks from another computer that you have not installed Foxmark’s add on yet? This is easily handled by a web-based My Bookmarks feature on http://my.foxmarks.com/
The website lets you access your bookmarks online so you can still use them from any PC:
Folks who use more than one PC will surely appreciate the convenience given by this bookmarking assistance tool. Make sure to subscribe to our RSS feeds to get more Firefox add-on tips!

I’ve used Foxmarks for some time now and love the ability to sync saved passwords. I know Google had an addon but quit updating when FF 3 was released, there was another addon that offered something similar but it was awful. I’m looking forward to a similar addon for Google Chrome.
