Thanks for the priceless resetting info. I was stuck with having to listen to Radio 2, at work, coz my ipod classic was frozen. Now I have all MY music back with no inane DJ chatter!!

Wow. I was panicking this morning, because I’ve never had a frozen iPod. I’m at work, so I couldn’t find any other sites that weren’t blocked. It took about 5 seconds, after I read your tip, to unfreeze my iPod. Thank you sooo much for posting this!

I have the ipod nano 2nd or third gen im not 100% sure which but i tried resetting and it kept beeping and my computer said that i should restore it and i did, lost everything on there it comes up on itunes but no apple logo appears at all just the shade of the screen brightness changes and it clicks just like if it was working but the screen is still froze white and nothing changes

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to put this up!! My Ipod Nano (I got it in 2008…not sure what model that makes it) froze mid song about a week and a half ago. My friend reset it for me, and where it turned it off, it since has not come back on. I’ve left it plugged into my computer to charge but nothing happens and even I Tunes doesn’t recognize it is there. When I hold down the Menu and middle button it doesn’t respond. Does this mean it’s a goner? Thank you for your time!!

I hate to say it, but I’ve followed your directions and it just plain ain’t working.

Willit work once the battery has run out? How long does that take?

Hello,
My ipod has the “connected eject before disconnecting” screen on yet it wont recognize in i tunes, nor will it sync, or function at all. It jus stays on the same screen. I have shut my comp down and my ipod is “frozen” on the same screen. plz help.

YES! Thank you so, so much! I checked the iPod guide and all, but it said nothing about the finger thing, and I was freaking out because I have an iPod Classic which means no guarantee anymore which means death. So yeah, major freak out right there. But now everything’s better, and I have you to thank for that. (:

my ipod shuffle wont work whatever i do. i insert it into the computer and it doesnt show up. it is fully charged but when i try to play it the lights keep flashing from amber to green! can you please help me ((

OMG Dude you are AWESOME !!!!!!My IPod 80GB was frozen and would not work usb in my car it was driving me CRAZY …..You are the Best !!!!!!!
