Thank you sooo much! My dad has just bought the new Ipod Nano g5 and it froze… the way to unfreeze the older nano’s also works on this one! I was so releaved! THANK YOU!

i have an ipod 5th generation 30gb. it worked great until the other day. i turned it on, and the apple screen came up just like usual. but then it stayed there. and the only way i can get it off it to plug it in to my dock, then when i take it off it restarts, and freezes on the apple screen again. i have reset it many times, and it still does the same thing. any tips?

Have followed your advice regarding the reset of the ipod nano but unfortunately the apple logo does not appear and the screen remains black. Have you any further advice?

Ah my i-pod is frozen I tried all the steps you told me but it still has this screen that says “Connected” Eject before disconnecting and nothing is happening at all I tried all the steps. I also tried puting the USB cord in the i-pod but it still wont work cause it says on my computer “This device cannot be found.

I bought an iPod Nano 5th 8G froma friend and it already has alot of great music on it. The problem is that he had it set up and formatted for MAC and I use a PC. The Apple manual and iTunes tells me I must reformat and will lose all music. Is there a way to convert my iPod to PC and keep the music? Also, it seems like the left side ear bud may be blown out- it kind of rattles with loud volume and booming bass. Do I just need new earphones and do I need Apple ones if so? Thanks!

Many thanks, I forget to turn off the ipod and it went on for about 12 hours, and hung up.

My first thought was to dismantle the Ipod and remove the battery, but luckily read your advice first.

My Ipod Classic (120Gb) had to be “reset back to factory settings” and I lost ALL my photos and most of my podcasts and videos. It refuses to load any pictures! My old podcasts and videos are still listed on my itunes account but they won’t reload. I can download new podcasts but thats all. Help?

Gotta say, I hate ipods so when i got one and it broke in the first week i was pretty sure Mr Ipod was going to be met in a back alley and severely beaten but sure enough the re-set technique this site had worked 100%. Can’t believe it.

This website is ACE. My iPod froze, i though all my songs were going to get deleted, however i was mistaken. I followed the steps and was able to unfreeze my iPod without any songs or movies getting deleted.
