Its not to hide them, but to password protect them which is exactly what I was looking for. The Link Password add-on for firefox will allow you to password protect individual links or folders and it will even randomize the names of those links. I love it!

Is there a way to hide your browsing history? At the moment I have to completely delete my history whenever guests come to stay, which is a pain, because I don’t really want to lose that data, I just want to hide it from them. Is there an add-on that would password protect that info? I think I found one, but it’s a bit out of date.

keyF11.com – Private panels with bookmarks are hidden, but you can send your own link ( e.g. keyf11.com/name ) to anybody and share your bookmarks without registration or login to keyf11 . (You share everything bookmarks, notes except your private panels, which are password protected. – .) I recommended.

Hi, there is a firefox addon which does exactly what you described, but a lot easier and more comfortable.
It is calles “bookmark autohider” and could be found under:

Is it me or are the before and after images the same? If there is a difference it sure doesn’t look like the effort.

Since the release of Google Chrome I’ve been looking for a way to re-consolidate user space in Firefox the same way as it’s done in G.Chrome.
