I am another one who got 0 byte files when inputting an AVI file taken by a digital camera. MelodyCan is rather deceptive on the free trial – it will do three minutes for free, then you have to buy the program. I would think that a reasonable free trial would be one file of some reasonable length.

wanted to get audio from 1:27:00 into the movie, took about 2 minutes to start the extraction, i thought it was not responding, but it did start!

Try the Pazera Free Audio Extractor. Under Output Settings, select the “Try extract original audio stream” option.

It works well but truncates the music time. I tried to use the slider to get the full length of the music but it cuts the time into half. I have failed to correct the problem.

Okay, so it works perfectly fine. But is there a way to improve the sound quality? Also, it is only copying half of what I want it too copy. What do I do?

What a rip-off! The so-called AoA Audio Extractor Free is the same file as the AoA Audio Extractor Platinum Edition Free Trial version, with limited capabilities, 50% or 3 min. I could not even get 3 min transfer out of it. It is not a separate stand-alone program. Very misleading advertising.

Like Jess, Dave and Kiran the AOA extractor produces only a file name with a 0 byte file. I’m trying to convert .mov to .mp3. Can anyone help us?

This worked perfectly and executed extremely fast. Thank you. Big Al, I am not sure what happened with your download, but I was able to download the free version. Even though it does say it only supports 3 output file versions, I was able extract the audio from a .MOV to a .WAV file.

Trace, the .mp3 was available to choose from on the free version if you are trying to extract the audio from the .MOV.

Hi Big Al, I think you probably downloaded the wrong version. AOA have a number of versions you can purchase and a free downloadable version. Visit http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm and select download from the right-hand side.

Well, you say you’re got a free converter, so I download it, install it, initiate it & it tells me I’ve got to come back online and buy it before I can use it. That’s what I’d call bait & switch. I’m just lucky I know how to remove software. If you truly do have a free version, I’d like a copy.
