Are you sick of seeing messages like these when you try and delete a file: Tem doente de ver mensagens como estes quando você tenta e excluir um arquivo:

- There has been a sharing violation. -- Houve uma partilha violação.

- The source or destination file may be in use. -- A origem ou destino o arquivo pode estar em uso.

- The file is in use by another program or user. -- O arquivo está em uso por outro programa ou usuário.

- Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. -- Certifique-se de que o disco não está cheio ou escrever-protegido e que o dossier não está atualmente em uso.

You may be wanting to remove a piece of unwanted software, sort out all those directories that have no coordination, you may be practicing darker arts and want to get rid of incriminating files that could get you in a spot of bother. Windows XP Windows XP

First up lets concentrate on Windows XP, after all XP is the most common Operating System on PC’s today. Of course as the years progress systems will come with Vista as standard… but that’s for another time. Manually Deleting Undeletable Files Apagando arquivos manualmente Undeletable

To manually delete ‘undeletable’ files in XP follow these steps; Para apagar manualmente "undeletable" arquivos no XP siga estas etapas;

Note: Steps 1 to 3 relate to performing a search to locate the file in question. Nota: Etapas 1 a 3 referem-se a realizar uma pesquisa para localizar o arquivo em questão. If you know where the file is located go straight to step 4. Se você souber onde o arquivo está localizado ir direto para o passo 4.

1. Click Start – Search – For Files or Folders - All files and folders. Clique em Iniciar - Busca - Para arquivos ou pastas - Todos os arquivos e pastas.

2. Type in the name of the file you want deleting. Digite o nome do arquivo que você quer apagar.

3. Click Search and the file should be displayed in the right hand pane in ‘Search Results’. Clique em Procurar e do arquivo deve ser exibido na mão direita no painel 'Resultados da pesquisa'.

4. Once the file is located, right-click it and choose properties . Depois que o arquivo for localizado, o botão direito do mouse e selecione Propriedades-la. Make a note of the files location. Anote a localização dos arquivos. ie C:\Documents and Setting\My Documents\undeleteablefilesname. Ou seja C: \ Documents and Configurando \ My Documents \ undeleteablefilesname.

Manually deleting ‘undeletable’ files in Windows 95, 98, or ME is pretty much the same process as in Windows XP, however there is the added step of needing to boot your system to the DOS prompt. Once the boot disk was used to start your machine, no other programs were running to cause permissions issues. it should be cd c:\Documents and Settings\My Documents. Convém cd c: \ Documents and Settings \ Meus Documentos.
