How to create expandable posts that show only short summaries

If you’re on the main page of my blog, you won’t have to scroll down a mile anymore to see the 10 most recent posts and that’s because I just found a hack over at Hackosphere that allows you to hack up Blogger Beta (Beta being the key word here, if you are still using the old Blogger, this hack will not work) so that you can cut your really long posts down to something short to avoid excessively long blog pages.
