I downloaded the FreeCorder app and installed the files. I opened my Firefox 3.5 browser to see that the tool bar does not exist. It know that it is installed since I see it in my program files. I looked at View, then Toolbars to see if it is there, but I do not see it.

I read a recommendation for freecorder in a magazine, tried downloading both the Ask and plain versions, and neither worked, just took me to a software publishers home page. And I couldn’t get rid of them properly either. I have lost them from my program listing, but the toolbars keep reappearing, so there is something Kaspersky-proof still lurking. AVOID!!!!

AWESOME!! Hubby (He is a DJ) was asking me how can he download streaming audio like we do for youtube vids.. I googled & found this!! I downloaded MP3MyMP3 & it worked like a charm!!

hi i am using wondershare to try to record some streaming audio off this site from a band i like but it’s not working and i really want the music. so could you help me out by maybe getting it for me then saving it in a zip file and uploading it to a website like mediafire? Hi, thanks a million for writing about sound capture software. I’d been searching for one for Vistas and had almost lost hope when I found your article. I’ve installed the toolbar and it’s perfect! Heathen Angel said it is Spyware and installs ASK search engine. But you can install the version that does not make ASK default. I’ve got XP and the absolute latest Firefox and it worked nicely to get a Myspace song I’ve been after for ages. Thanks, Freecoder.

Where have you been all my lfe???!?!?!? This is absolutly the best. Thank you for this information. The ask and record toolbar is amazing. I make my own playlist at playlist.com, stream the music, and then used in conjuction with freecorder…..HOLY CRAP! of course I only record non-copywrited music, because otherwise it would be wrong.

I downloaded and used frecorder… it is a spyware. Ask.com uses it to glean information from your computer, and it will often hold up the loading of pages in order to bring up whatever it is you are trying to open, in search form, on THEIR search engine, despite what default search engine you have. I do not enjoy being “slammed” in that manner, and so I have chosen to uninstall freecorder and find something else.

I downloaded Freecorder and it works great (have Windows XP). Have made about 20 cd’s and all them play on my players, even recorded old cassettes to cd’s. Love to watch the little recorder popup showing “recording”. Used pause to get cd’s without any break between songs, thereby creating back-to-back music. Great item. Tried all those others and too much trouble. Freecorder is the easiest yet. Thanks for a great system.

Listen man I just wanna say thanks for this article cuz I looked at about 20 different pages and downloaded 5 different programs already trying to get ONE SONG! This is the only thing that worked (I used the toolbar in IE). Perfect quality. Thanks a lot man, seriously.

this is just irritating, freecorder does not record using windows vista at all..
how can you get it to work???
