On mac try using SAFARI instead of Firefox. Right-click and select "What's here?" at the bottom of the upcoming dialog. The coordinates will show in the search field at the top of the screen.

@Schantell: if you copy/paste your coordinates in http://maps.google.com/, you end up in Zambia, very close to the border with Zimbabwe... at something that seemes to be called 'mvuu lodge'...

@John: maybe this site can help you: http://www.gpscoordinates.eu/determine-gps-coordinates.php

You can convert gps coordinatates you get from google maps to something a tomtom or garmin can understand.
With some place in London as an example: 40.771166,-73.974209 after conversion will be: N 51 30 0.5, W 0 7 34.4
I don't know about a garmin, but in a tomtom you would have to type in this: N51°30'0.5, W0°7'34.4

I am finding coordinates so confusing. My Garmin hand held etrex GPS has a dozen or so systems to choose from. I am using UTM UPS system, but it does not seem to be the same as what I find on maps or on my Navigon car GPS. None of the coordinates match what I see on Google maps. How do I reconcile all of these?
Thanks!

I tried all these methods of finding co-ordinates - none of them worked for me. Perhaps they're not compatible with the Mac OSX - 10.4.11 I use.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
