Does anyone know if it is possible to view the BIOS with only having the IP address of a remote computer. Basically I had a PC stolen and the person that I suspect actually was what I considered a friend. I can see the computer on his network but before my work will do anything they said I had to verify that the serial number had to match what we showed in our records. They said if I could get a copy of the BIOS that would be enough. All I have is the PC name and the IP address and I can get my laptop on his network. Also any other ideas on how to obtain a serial number remotely would be greatly appreciated.
