After being on WordPress for over four months now, I thought I would compile a quick list of WordPress plugins that I’ve used to optimize my blog for search engines. I have found that most lists out there include a couple of these, so I thought I would try to create a master list of the best SEO plugins for WordPress. These SEO plugins are very useful and actually quite essential if you want your blog to rank well in Google. Most of them require little to no customization and work perfectly right after installation.

This guide is for those people who have finally decided that they want to make the jump from the Blogger platform to the more professional and flexible WordPress platform. In the Blogger vs WordPress battle, there are way too many reasons to move to WordPress for me to list here, but you can read a couple of good posts from some other happy WordPress bloggers here:

Holy cow!! I LOVE WORDPRESS! I can’t imagine how I lived for three months on Blogger!! And I joined up on Blogger Beta, I feel bad for anyone who had to use the original Blogger. Nah, I won’t rag on Blogger, it’s a great platform if you are just starting a blog or you’re blogging for fun and don’t care about having a large readership.
