I just found an interesting article over at WinCustomize how to customize your Windows XP machine to look and feel just like you’re running Windows Vista! I took a look at the tutorial and the final results are pretty impressive. So if you’re one of those people who’s waiting to switch to Vista because you’re worried it’s going to mess up your current system or because you just want to buy a new computer in a few months, but you really like the new interface and are sick of the XP lego colors, then try this out!

If you’re looking into upgrading your Windows XP machine to Windows Vista and you’ve heard that Vista does not go well with some older hardware, etc…then you’re right and before you upgrade, you should definitely check out whether or not your computer is ready because certain hardware, software, or drivers can crash your install and leave you with a dead computer!
So you can use Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor 1.0 to check out whether your computer can reach the bar to handle Vista! First, download the tool from the link above and install it. I had some trouble on my computer and had to uninstall and then reinstall it for some strange reason.

Ohh goodness, I have to get Windows Vista soon, if not for the better operating system, at least for the really cool animated desktop wallpapers that are now out there for Vista Ultimate! There is a piece of software called “DreamScapes” that extends Windows DreamScene, which I posted about earlier and you can read here, and gives it the ability to run a .Dream animated wallpapers.
