According to a press release from Google and Sun almost two years ago, a concerted effort was going to be made to make Open Office more widely available to the public. Now, suddenly and without much fan-fare, you will find that the Google Pack page includes the once $70 version of StarOffice for free. StarOffice uses the same code base as OpenOffice, but StarOffice has added a number of features, including a spell-checker, thesaurus, Windows fonts, and clipart.

I think I am the only person in this world who does not have an iPod and who does not use iTunes (I’m just not into music!), but for the millions of people who are into it, you can take advantage of Apple’s “Complete My Album” feature that they just came out with.
This will allow iTunes users to download the full album at a discount price as long as the user had already purchased one or more of the tracks. Normally, if you wanted to buy the album, you had to purchase the whole album, even if you bought one track earlier. With the new system, iTunes will give you a $.99 credit for each track you already bought.

How funny would it sound if you’re working for a Fortune 1000 company and you come to find out that the spam that you get in your Inbox (ranging from Viagra to the best stocks) originated from within your own company! Quite shocking!!! I was shocked to learn that a lot of the spam that is generated and that we think comes from newbie users who’ve gotten their computers taken over are actually from very large Fortune companies, including Oracle, HP, and Best Buy!
