How to use Google Search to find the latest news and blog posts for keywords using RSS

You can use Google News search and Google Blog search to keep track of the latest news and relevant blog posts through RSS feeds of the search. This is a very simple way to create your own news feed of information from reputed news sources and also the blogosphere.

For example, let’s say you want to keep abreast on any developments with Presidential candidate Barack Obama in the blogosphere, then you could type in “Barack Obama” and either setup Blog Alerts or choose to subscribe to the RSS or Atom feed for that search.

For all of those faithful people who use Google for search and FaceBook for staying in touch with friends and family, then you’ll like the new Google gadget that has been created for FaceBook. It still has not been officially released, but the beta FaceBook gadget allows you to view your latest updates, your friends latest updates, photos, and perform searches from within Google’s homepage.

Google introduced a new feature today for Picasa called “Map Your Photos” which lets you show everyone where you took your pictures on a map. It’s a feature that’s been around in Flickr for ages, so it’s about time Picasa users don’t feel like lonely ducklings. The new feature is quite easy to use and adds a little bit of jazz to the site. Once you login into Picasa Web Albums, click on any album and click on the new button at the top called Map Photos.

Google Analytics gets upgraded! New version is cool!

If you monitor your web site or blog stats through Google Analytics, then you’ll be in for a big suprise when you log in the next time! Google has just updated their Analytics program with a whole new interface (that is really nice) and a couple of nice features such as the ability to email or export reports in PDF format, customize the main screen when you first login, and compare different time periods on one graph.
