The start menu, quick launch and desktop icons are the most well known ways to launch applications and files in Windows. If you take a look at Apple’s operating system, the OS X, you will notice that Windows lacks the “ dock ” - an animated application launcher that displays file and folder shortcuts as well as minimized items and windows. Wish you could extract all of icons stored on your computer ? Wish si potrebbe estrarre tutte le icone presenti sul vostro computer? If I were to ask you how many icons you have stored on your computer, would you be able to tell me? Se dovessi chiedere quante icone avete memorizzato sul tuo computer, lei sarebbe in grado di dirmi? Probably not! Probabilmente no! Nor can I! Né posso! Actually, most applications store their icons directly in the EXE (executable) file itself, which indirectly hides those icons from you. In realtà, la maggior parte delle applicazioni memorizzare le loro icone direttamente nel file EXE (eseguibile) file stesso, che nasconde indirettamente quelle icone da voi.
I sometimes enjoy changing the icons on my computer for a specific application or maybe for a certain file that I use very often and want to visually differentiate from everything else. A volte mi godere di cambiare le icone sul mio computer per una determinata applicazione o forse per un certo file che io uso molto spesso, e si vuole distinguere visivamente da tutto il resto. You can quickly change the icon on a program, file, document, photo, etc by simply right-clicking on it and going to Properties . È possibile modificare rapidamente l'icona su un programma, file, documenti, foto, ecc semplicemente clic destro su di esso e andare a Proprietà. Click on Customize and then click Change Icon . Fare clic su Personalizza e quindi fare clic su Cambia icona.

There are too many passwords to remember these days - system login passwords, email account passwords, bank accounts password, social bookmarking passwords and more. Ci sono troppe password da ricordare in questi giorni - sistema di password per il login, password di account e-mail, password di conti bancari, sociale Bookmarking password e molto altro. If you understand the risks, writing all those passwords in a piece of paper is not a very brilliant decision to solve this. The other problem is that we tend to use the same passwords for multiple different accounts, making it simpler for us to retrieve it when the need arise. But wait, just imagine the damage it will cause if somebody knows the single, same, insecure password of yours. Ever heard of a song identifier or a music identification software ? Mai sentito parlare di un brano musicale o di un identificatore di identificazione del software? Well usually when I hear a song and want to know the singer or the name of the song, I end up going to relying on a music search engine where I can find a song by it’s lyrics. Beh di solito quando sento una canzone e desiderate conoscere il cantante o il nome del brano, finiscono per andare a fare affidamento su un motore di ricerca di musica dove posso trovare una canzone è lyrics. I had written a few months back about Avevo scritto un paio di mesi torna su how to find the name or title of a song by lyrics, Come trovare il nome o il titolo di una canzone da testi, if you know them. Se li conoscono.

Employers are, more and more, rightly protecting their IT assets by restricting what employees can and cannot do with their work computers. I’ve seen firsthand what havoc can be wrought upon unprotected systems by clueless workers who download and install the worst possible malware with the pure innocence of wind-driven snow. So I do not fault IT departments when I find that I cannot add the applications I find most useful to my workstation. But there is a way to run those applications without installing them on your employer’s (or anyone else’s) system or in any way leaving a mark on it whatsoever. If you’re a computer geek like I am, some thing comes easily, such as how to setup a piece of software or how to troubleshoot a Windows error message . Se sei un computer geek, come sono io, qualche cosa arriva facilmente, ad esempio come impostare un pezzo di software o di come risolvere un messaggio di errore di Windows. But if you’re the non-techie parent of that computer geek or the sales and marketing guy at your office, you may not have as much insight into those cryptic messages or strange menu options when installing software. Ma se siete il non-techie madre di quel computer geek o il tipo di vendita e di marketing, in ufficio, potresti non avere una visione il più in quei messaggi criptici o di strano quando le opzioni di menu di installazione del software.
