Nieuwe craze is deze dagen voor toepassingen geweest die u aan toestaan lanceer snel uw favoriete toepassingen in Vensters met eenvoudige aanslagen, eerder dan het klikken helemaal over de plaats. Een aantal van de populairste toepassingslanceerinrichtingen zijn Launchy, 8Start, en ObjectDock. Meebo, als u niet hebt gehoord, is de werkelijk koele dienst dat voegt elk van uw IM praatjeprogramma's in bijeen centrale plaats u kunt gebruiken om waartoegang te hebben tot van overal en met uw vrienden van overal te babbelen. Nu met apps die tot het Web leiden, d.w.z. Het bureau online, het is vrij nutteloos om 5 verschillende IM praatjeprogramma's zoals Boodschapper Yahoo, MSN, DOEL, ICQ, enz. op uw computer te installeren.
Het is veel gemakkelijker eenvoudig om op een website zoals Meebo te registreren en met elk van uw vrienden van om het even welke IM dienst te babbelen zonder het moeten één enkel stuk van software downloaden of installeren! Groot!

With the advent of beautiful widescreen displays on laptops and graphics cards on desktops that can support more than one monitor, it’s pretty easy to have not only your desk cluttered, but your computer desktop screen also! Even while writing this post, I have about 4 to 5 different windows open: one for email, one for writing this post, one for Firefox, and one for Yahoo Messenger.

Here’s a cool idea: download lots of your favorite music from iTunes, install a small program, and find out which bands from your music library will be playing in your city automatically! Well, that sounds a little Web 3.0 to me with communication between multiple programs, services and databases all coming together to create something really useful.

If you ever watch TV or get out of the house, you have probably seen a photo mosaic before at some point in your life. A photo mosaic is basically a picture that is created by using lots of other smaller images. You can create a mosaic from 10 pictures of 1,000 pictures, depending on how good you want it to match the original picture. The more images you use, the better the final mosaic will look like the original picture.
