Find Plagiarizers of Your Content the Easy Way

Posted on May 2, 2010 - Filed Under Blogging | 2 Comments

Charles Colton once wrote that “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” However, when you write for a living, imitation means lost revenue. Those of us who write for the Web must stay constantly vigilant against those who steal our unique content and use it as their own for profit.

It can be a time-sucking task to hunt down plagiarizers, but a new Web site called Plagium.com can cut many hours off the hunt.

Windows Live Writer is a nice blogging tool before any added extras, but there are a few plug-ins available to make the Live Writer experience even better. Here are some of our favorites:

1. Flickr4Writer

So for all of those who read Online Tech Tips, you know that my articles are usually pretty long and go a little more in-depth about the topic. I’ve always found that this way of writing helps beginners understand tech stuff more easily.

How to add social bookmarking tags using Live Writer

Posted on April 5, 2009 - Filed Under Blogging | 1 Comment

Social bookmarking is used for storing bookmarks of useful web pages on the Net.  In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web sites they want on their own social website account.  For example, if you have a Yahoo! account, you can click the image below to add the online-tech-tips.com URL to your Yahoo! account:

It would then open your Yahoo! bookmarks page prompting you to save the link:

You could then see the bookmark on the bookmarks.yahoo.com site:
