Clipmarks - Save, organize, and share clippings of Internet web pages

Posted on December 30, 2007 - Filed Under Cool Websites | 1 Comment

If you’re like most people, you probably read news articles online, follow 20 blogs on your favorite topics, and visit all kinds of cool web sites every day. That’s great, but it’s a tons of information, most of which you will probably forget before the next day!

There are tools out there that let you capture entire web pages or save entire web sites, but that’s simply too much information and takes forever. However, there are some really cool web sites that you can use to capture (or clip) only portions of a web page, store them in a way that is searchable, and share the clippings with others.

How to track a UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL package from one site

Posted on December 30, 2007 - Filed Under Cool Websites | 2 Comments

I love tracking packages online! It’s simply something that computer geeks like to do for some reason! With the holiday season in full gear, there are lots of packages I’m sending and lots that I am receiving. However, sometimes I will ship via UPS and other times FexEx and a package I am receiving can be from any carrier. It’s annoying to have to go to each carrier’s web site to get tracking info and that’s why I searched around for a solution!

Uber - Create your own unique website for free

Posted on December 29, 2007 - Filed Under Cool Websites | 5 Comments

Earlier I had written two posts on how to create your own website, including how to get a domain name/hosting and how to download free website templates, however doing it yourself in this manner still requires a little bit of technical knowledge and in the end is simply a pain for most non-web-designing people!

Luckily, there are some cool tools out there that you can use to create your own website with your own unique touch, rather than just using a plain template. Most web site or blog creation tools allow you to choose from pre-defined templates that you really can’t change. This includes tools like Blogger, Wordpress, WetPaint, etc.

Wish you could have your Microsoft Office documents synced up with Google Docs? If you use Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, or Powerpoint or OpenOffice as your productivity suite, you probably have run into an occasion where you had to make a presentation on the road or access an important Excel spreadsheet while at another location.
